2012 Poll: GOP Rejects Both Palin and Romney As Leaders

A new poll of Republicans by Harris brought bad news for the White House aspirations of both Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin, who both find themselves trailing none of the above. Among Republicans Romney leads Palin, 14%-13%, when voters were asked who the leader of the GOP is, but None beat both of them with 34%. Thus far neither Palin nor Romney has convinced Republicans that they can turn the Party of No into the Party of Go.

On CNN’s Reliable Sources today Howard Kurtz interviewed David Frum who in 20 seconds explained how Rush Limbaugh and Fox News are now running the GOP. Frum said, “Fox, like Limbaugh, has an interest in pushing the Republicans to the margins, making people angry.” The Republican Party is being forced to deal with the fact that angry powerless feeling people don’t vote. They tend to stay home.

Fox Makes Up Breaking News In Order to Cut Away From Obama

In order to avoid showing President Obama’s remarks after he signed the final health care bill today, Fox News cut away from the president to show footage of a perfectly fine airplane landing. Fox justified the cut away because they had heard that the plane might be having flap issues. The real reason that they cut away is that they did not want to give Obama any airtime to discuss the health care bill that he signed.

Elizabeth Hasselbeck Blasts Sarah Palin for her Target List

On ABC’s The View today, conservative Elizabeth Hasselbeck lowered the boom on Sarah Palin today for her targeted list of congressional races. She called Palin’s list, “An abuse of the Second Amendment, and advertising… It’s dangerous. It incites crime.” This criticism has to be just a tad stinging, because Hasselbeck campaigned for Palin in 2008.
