Rush Limbaugh Calls Woman ‘Prostitute’ and ‘Slut’ for Using Birth Control

| February 29, 2012 | 23 Comments

Rush Limbaugh has jumped the shark. Today, Rush Limbaugh called a female college student who was denied a spot at the contraception hearing a “slut” and a “prostitute” while suggesting that she is making everyone pay her to have sex. Clearly, somebody’s jealous that someone else can have sex without assistance.

Listen here courtesy of Media Matters:

LIMBAUGH: What does it say about the college coed Susan Fluke [sic], who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex? What does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex.

She’s having so much sex she can’t afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex. What does that make us? We’re the pimps.

The johns, that’s right. We would be the johns — no! We’re not the johns. Well — yeah, that’s right. Pimp’s not the right word.

OK, so, she’s not a slut. She’s round-heeled. I take it back.

Not everyone pays for sex. This may be a news flash to Rush. After all, this is coming from a man arrested with a suitcase full of Viagra in someone else’s name on his way back from the Dominican Republic.

The Smoking Gun revealed:

Included in the material released were a copy of the handwritten statement Limbaugh provided investigators after he was detained upon the discovery of the impotency drug. An affidavit sworn three days later by Limbaugh was also released. In that document, Limbaugh explains that the Viagra ‘was intended for my exclusive use’ and that the drug had been prescribed in the name of his drug treatment doctor, Steven Strumwasser, ‘to further maintain and protect my privacy.’

See, Rush has his Viagra prescribed in his doctor’s name in order to protect his privacy, which we must all understand is his divinely given right as a white man; whereas the sex life of every woman in America who chooses to use birth control is Rush Limbaugh’s business. Or so he wishes.

Rush wrote that he sought to protect his own privacy “given the potential (SIC) embarrassing nature of Viagra.” Grammar is clearly not high on Rush’s list of priorities when it comes to protecting his reputation, but a drooping man-stick, well now…. That is unforgivable for the Alpha Male of the Airwaves, the man for whom the Republican Party elected officials get down on their knees and sniff like truffle pigs in search of a culture war to justify their embarrassingly passé outlook.

All of this is highly predictable and transparent. We didn’t need to know about the Viagra prescription to know that Rush suffers from an inadequacy complex, but certainly, we wish him well with his hypocritical physical deformities and abnormalities. After all, every life is important, even the wasted, resource-hog of a life sans signs of intelligence that can offer no seed — think of the science experiments!

If Rush can call women sluts and prostitutes for having a birth control prescription covered by insurance, what do we call Rush Limbaugh who may be getting the taxpayers or worse, a union!, to fund his Viagra — A wilted shell of a man sucking at the government trough simply so he can pretend to function like a real man? (Note: Rush’s real problem with women can’t be solved with a blue pill; his lifeless stump only exacerbates his hobbled mental, emotional and spiritual state. We women are more complicated than that and believe it or not, require more than — but then, if that were all we wanted surely we could buy a battery operated device and be done with the Rush Limbaughs all together…)

According to Rush, if insurance pays for birth control then it makes women sluts and prostitutes, so what do we call a man who makes us all pay for his impotency? Are we paying for Rush’s impotency? He has not even had ONE child, so why should we pay for him to get it up? Why should insurance fund his fantasy of himself as a fully functioning male when he is contributing nothing to society, giving nothing back?

As a member of the union AFTRA, Rush does have insurance — and good insurance at that. Though now that I think of it, with his prescription in his doctor’s name, who knows who is paying for Rush’s Viagra. Maybe we all are courtesy of the money funneled to him to spew the hatred so indicative of his ailments from his Flaccid Mic.

Of course, women are not asking anyone to pay them to have sex, though to be fair to the old guy, I’m sure that’s something Rush hears a lot of in his personal life. Women are, instead, asking to be paid to not get pregnant in case they have sex with someone like, say Rush Limbaugh.

Yes, that’s right. Our birth control is really nothing more than protection for the population, a service we are doing for America out of love and respect for this great nation, lest another floppy mistake be born unto the Hate Waves.

I’d like to thank Rush for making his arrest relevant again, for it’s this woman’s opinion that we don’t discuss his Viagra taking nearly as often as he rather desperately inserts himself into our medical decisions. Thanks, but no thanks, Rush. If I wanted a lame, clueless ride, I’d vote Republican. I don’t and I won’t.

The green monster has reared his wee jealous head again. I guess it’s time to tell Rush the truth: Yes, Rush, we women run around having wild, fantastic sex with capable men or women, whoever floats our boats, and you really are missing all of the fun. And yes, women do lie all of the time when we tell you that it doesn’t matter. It matters. The only time it doesn’t matter is when we love you. And let’s face it, that’s probably not going to happen for you this time around.

Better luck next life.

Note: When the only ailment is physical impotency, it does not impact a woman’s love or desire nor the masculinity of the man in her eyes. It’s the rest of the hypocritical Rush package (his mental and emotional impotency) that makes it ridicule worthy.

It’s odd: I gave a somewhat similar discourse over at… I now forget if it was Hatewatch or Loonwatch, but in any event, to the effect that if these angry white males can’t find pretty white women to breed with them, it’s because sane women prefer men who are vital and kindly and can be trusted around small helpless things, and that means that skinhead White Nationalists with tattoos will be left with the rabid droolers, and few enough of those. Nothing makes man or woman so unattractive as clench-toothed hate, unless it’s frothing hate. But in Rush’s case, I daresay his looks are against him, too. And might he be childless because he doesn’t like anything that can make kids?

    • Reynardine says:

Oh, and I admire Rush’s statement: “She’s having so much sex she can’t afford the contraception”. My understanding is that most female-oriented contraceptives cost the same whether a woman is having sex ninety times a month or one.

  2. Shiva says:

Isnt that illegal to get a prescription that’s not made out to you? Shouldnt he be arrested being as his development utilities are developmentally arrested?

  3. Edward Virtually says:

It would have been a better article if you’d left off the 2nd to last paragraph and the note.

    • Tom says:

bad advice and you have no manners.

It’s embarrassing for you to act like this in a public place and you don’t even realize what a misogynistic pig you are. After reading all of the comments, I wonder why women even talk to men at all.

  4. A Walkaway says:

I find this article very disturbing, because of the attitude towards men who aren’t the “He-Man” types. It reminds me so much of the girls I knew in school (early to mid 70s) who were always crying about not being able to find decent boyfriends (the ones that didn’t treat them like sexual and emotional playtoys), but who ONLY went after the big meats on campus (that was almost all of the girls in my school – those that liked men). The attitude (“Yes, Rush, we women run around having wild, fantastic sex with capable men or women, whoever floats our boats, and you really are missing all of the fun. And yes, women do lie all of the time when we tell you that it doesn’t matter. It matters.”) is horrible and it is EXACTLY the sort of thing thrown in my face while at the same time they were bemoaning not being able to find “decent men”.

As I learned, they CLAIMED to want things like honesty, faithfulness, self-control, and so on, but the real thing they were after was the good sex. Those of us who weren’t movie-star quality and with an established reputation in bed, well, we were shit in their eyes, no matter how honest or kind or considerate or intelligent. That meant most of the young men in the school rarely had dates (some of us – no dates at all). BTW… the school was huge – gigantic. My graduating class was over 1500 as I remember. If there were “decent” girls who weren’t only after the good sex, I never met them (except maybe the “Good Christian” girls, for whom I was less than dung in their eyes).

Plus, in a sense that’s discriminatory against those of us men who have medical problems – things we have no control over.

I hate Rush Limbaugh, and I am disgusted at his lack of manhood (the ability to be faithful, honest, exercise self-control, and so on – things the “big meats” never learned). But if he has medical problems, I don’t think it’s right to make fun of that at all, regardless of what he says. In a very real sense that’s discriminating against someone with a disability.

    • Tom says:

it’s supposed to remind you of that. doh. It’s using rush’s attitude against all women (you’re no good if you’re not hot) back at him. Get over yourself and get the message. It’s not all about you and what you didn’t get as a kid and why girls didn’t like you.

    • Tom says:

That comment was meant for you Walkaway. Self absorbed much?

  5. Reynardine says:

Well, you know, it cuts the other way, too. There were a great many guys who were panting after the hotties, and to them, “nice girls” were boring little things they planned to marry after they’d worn themselves out with the glamorous types.

Actually, though, we’re looking at a similar mechanism. Adolescents – and college life rather prolongs, or even revives adolescence- is as much about ranking with one’s same- sex peers as it is about actually finding a mate. This puts a premium on arm candy for both sexes. People either solitary enough or wise enough not to tie themselves down in college are a lot more likely to find someone with whom they are genuinely compatible. Nonetheless, memories of sitting home Friday nights doing homework for a more sought-after friend leaves an aftertaste not to be forgotten.

Looks like we need an Internet pest-control service to remove the trolls. I wonder why this site has so many of them and the main site doesn’t?

  7. BMW says:

Granted he should not have said this, but this site clearly misses the point. His case with the Viagra is irrelevant. He made a retarded comment that took things too far.

I also misses the point that he made (not very well, I might add, but still made). We’d be paying more so that people don’t make stupid mistakes. We, as taxpayers, would be paying for things that a large majority of people who aren’t paying taxes would end up using.

Medicine isn’t free and neither are the resources used in contraceptives. Let’s have a dialogue about that. We get it. Rush is offensive. He’s always been that way. To draw attention to it is irrelevant.

    • A Walkaway says:

Don’t buy the Republican lies about poor people not paying taxes. The poor pay taxes… even the very poor. They pay sales taxes, Social Security, state income taxes (in many cases), and all of the hidden taxes that are passed along through prices. It should be noted that most of those taxes are regressive – the poorer you are, the bigger the impact on your life and the more of your resources are taken (based on percentages). I can also attest that even with an income far less than the “poverty line” for two people, we’ve had to pay income taxes. The idea that people aren’t paying taxes is based upon using statistics in a deceptive way, and does not reflect the truth at all (it’s meant to stir you up and manipulate you, rather than inform you so you can think for yourself).

Plus you’re showing the same old “I’ve got mine, if you can’t afford yours tough shit!” attitude I’ve learned is ubiquitous in this country (exception being liberals/progressives). Most of the people who are poor are that way not because of “personal failings” (the Republican LIE), but because of situations outside of their control. It is really disgusting to hear someone say to a homeless person “Get a JOB!” when you know that the person receiving that treatment lost their job and then their home because some greedy-guts corporation shipped their job overseas and then dumped them just to increase profits (the most common reason for homelessness). Another common cause of poverty and homelessness is medical problems – and unlike another bullshit Republican meme, most people with medical problems did not bring them on themselves… unless you want to call genetic defects “personal failings” or again blame them for situations outside their control. You cannot even accuse them for causing their obesity (if they are overweight), because that is often the result of biological problems and NOT overeating. (I grant that poverty-induced poor diet – heavy on grains and carbohydrates – is also a major cause of obesity, the cheapest foods to buy [also the most profitable to sell] are now known to cause obesity and other health problems.)

We know the point that less-than-worthless blowhard jackass was trying to make… and he was rightfully called on it. I hope this is the nail in the coffin – that that lying motormouth gets put off the air – maybe the people who have bought his lies will finally hear some truth and turn their back on their masters (the elites via the Republican party).
